A Timeless Red and Blue Christmas with Velvet Ribbon Bows: The Full Reveal
It’s time—the big reveal of the Christmas installation I created for my dear friend, Sita Montgomery of Sita Montgomery Interiors. I poured my heart into every detail of this timeless red and blue Christmas decor. After a whopping 135 hours (yes, you read that right!), I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! This project is a love letter to classic holiday traditions with just the right touch of sophistication.
Big thanks to Sita for giving me this opportunity. She is such a dear friend of mine and it has been so fun curating her Christmas decor! This is definitely one of my new favorite installs.

The Vision: Classic, Refined, and Pretty
When Sita came to me, I knew I had to do something truly special for her home. Sita chose the most darling palette—rich reds and soft muted blues—to bring her vision to life. Together, we worked to create a look rooted in tradition, with elements like velvet ribbon bows, classic ornament shapes, and timeless textures. These details combined to create a familiar yet refined aesthetic for this holiday season.
The Star of the Show: The Grand Entryway Garland
If there’s one thing that sets the tone for this entire installation, it’s the grand Christmas entryway. It’s the first thing guests see when they walk in, and it’s nothing short of breathtaking.
The garland features lush pine greenery woven with muted blue ribbon from Farris Silk, pops of red berries, and vibrant red ornaments. It’s bold yet inviting, creating an unforgettable first impression; look how cute her little dog is!

The Velvet Bow Christmas Tree: A Grand, Timeless Statement
In the living room, the Christmas tree is the undeniable centerpiece. It’s everything a holiday tree should be: classic, elegant, and timeless. The tree is adorned with velvet ribbon bows, classic red ornaments, muted blue accents, and Frosted Ivory Glass Candle Ornaments from the Park Hill Collection. When we found these stunning mercury glass clip-on candles, we fell in love with them! I even put a few on my own living room tree this year.
Instead of sparkle, we kept it understated with classic white lights that add a warm, cozy glow.

Fun fact: Sita has a dedicated tree storage room! When the season ends, she’ll carefully wrap up this tree and roll it into storage, ready to reinstall next year with ease. It’s the ultimate setup for setting up holiday decor with ease.

The Prettiest Christmas Mantel
The mantel in Sita’s home is stunning on its own, but we elevated it with a garland that ties back to the tree and entryway. The lush greenery is accented with red berries, blue ribbon, and ornaments, creating a timeless look full of depth.

How pretty are these coffee table trees and the nativity scene?! Sita really does such a good job at accenting her home with the most elegant pieces.
Dining Table: Festive and Refined
The accompanying Christmas dining table display adds extra charm, featuring tabletop trees and gold candlesticks that Sita styled with red velvet ribbon.
I created the floral arrangement for the centerpiece, and Sita added the finishing touches. This table is ready to host holiday meals, combining sophistication with a cozy, traditional feel.
